Service Contract Eligibility
When can I purchase a New or Pre-Owned Chrysler Service Contract?
For Vehicles Less Than 4 Years Old And With Less Than 48,000 Miles
All Chrysler Service Contract New Vehicle plans that provide mechanical coverage can be purchased within 48-months and 48,000-miles from the original warranty start date (the date that you or the vehicle's original owner actually took delivery of the new vehicle). If you buy a New Vehicle Chrysler Service Contract after one, two or three years of vehicle purchase, a surcharge may be applied to the total cost. Convenience and Maintenance Plans may be purchased at any time.
For Vehicles Over 4 Years Old
OR
With More Than 48,000 Miles
Vehicles that are over 4 years old or have more than 48,000 miles can also purchase a Chrysler Service Contract, however, a Used Vehicle Inspection must be completed by any authorized Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealer or authorized service center prior to completing the purchase. Please see the Document Library to download the Used Vehicle Inspection Form.
For Vehicles With An Active Chrysler Service Contract
Vehicles that currently have an active Chrysler Service Contract that will soon expire, are also eligible for additional Chrysler Service Contract coverage. During the quote process, simply indicate that your vehicle is over 4 years old or has more than 48,000 miles and you will be directed to the available Chrysler Service Contract plans that start from the date of purchase.
IMPORTANT
: You will want to wait until the current contract is close to expiring based on years or miles, as the extension contract supersedes the active contract. Note: When extending an active contract, a vehicle inspection is not required.
